TIERED CAKE & not tiered cake
TIERED CAKE DESCRIPTION
Cakes stacked on top of each other. Each cake is called a "tier."
A tiered cake is multiple cakes, stacked atop one another to create height. Tiered cakes often lend itself to becoming a focal point of the party such as a wedding cake.
NOT TIERED CAKE DESCRIPTION
A single cake, no "tiers" of cake stacked on top of it.

This is a sample of a four tiered wedding cake.
The "tiers" which are individual cakes stacked on top of each other are labeled as Tier 1 and so on starting from the top.
Each tier is a separate cake so that being said, tiered cakes can be all one flavor for cake and filling or you can do a different flavor for cake and/or filling for each tier.
Keep this in mind when filling out the inquiry form if you prefer different flavors for each tier.
